Summary

This study is testing whether stem cells from umbilical cords are safe and can help control severe systemic sclerosis, also known as scleroderma. It will involve 18 adults with severe disease who haven't responded well to standard treatments. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either one stem cell infusion, two infusions, or a placebo infusion, and researchers will monitor their safety and skin changes over a year.
