Stem cell shots tested to fight debilitating long COVID fatigue and brain fog
NCT ID NCT05126563
Summary
This study tested whether stem cell injections could reduce the persistent symptoms of Long COVID, such as severe fatigue, brain fog, and headaches. About 80 adults with Long COVID for at least 12 weeks received either four infusions of donor stem cells or a placebo saline solution over 10 weeks. Researchers measured changes in symptom severity and quality of life over 6 months to see if the treatment was safe and helpful.
