Experimental stem cell treatment tested for failing livers
NCT ID NCT03826433
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether stem cells from umbilical cords are safe and might help people with advanced liver scarring (cirrhosis) caused by hepatitis B. Researchers will give the cells to 20 patients and closely monitor their liver function and overall health. The main goal is to check for safety, while also looking for any signs that the treatment might improve liver scores.
