Lab-Made stem cells tested as rescue for dangerous transplant complication

NCT ID NCT06321198

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new treatment for a severe complication called graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) that can happen after a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. The treatment uses special cells (iMSCs) grown in a lab from stem cells. Researchers want to see if these cells are safe and might help control the disease in patients whose GVHD hasn't improved with standard steroid treatments.
