NCT ID NCT03378414
Summary
This study is testing whether stem cells from umbilical cords can help people with spinocerebellar ataxia, a group of inherited disorders that cause worsening balance and coordination problems. Researchers will give stem cell treatments to 45 patients and track their movement abilities over 12 months to see if the therapy is safe and effective. The study focuses on four specific genetic types of this condition.
