Stem cell shot tested as new hope for chronic back pain

Summary
This study is testing whether injecting stem cells from umbilical cords into damaged spinal discs can safely reduce chronic lower back pain. It will involve about 242 adults who have had persistent pain for over 6 months. Participants will be split into groups to compare the stem cell injection against a standard procedure to see which is better at relieving pain.
