Experimental stem cell therapy aims to rebuild brain blood flow

NCT ID NCT07065409

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether tiny particles from stem cells can help improve blood flow to the brain in people with Moyamoya disease. The treatment involves applying these particles to the skin near a previously transplanted muscle flap, aiming to encourage new blood vessel growth. Researchers will primarily check if this approach is safe and well-tolerated in a small group of 9 adult patients who haven't improved enough after their initial surgery.
