One Patient's own stem cells tested against debilitating nerve condition

NCT ID NCT04825626

Summary

This program provided special access to an experimental treatment for one patient with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), a condition where the immune system attacks the nerves. Doctors tested whether infusions of the patient's own previously stored stem cells were safe and could help control the disease. The treatment involved multiple infusions over nearly a year, with close monitoring for safety and any changes in the patient's condition.
