New combo therapy aims to beat relapsed blood cancers

Summary
This study is for adults with certain blood cancers (like acute myeloid leukemia) that have come back or not responded to treatment. It tests a powerful chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant from a donor. The goal is to find the best dose of total body irradiation to kill cancer cells and help the new stem cells grow, while also using drugs to prevent the donor cells from attacking the patient's body. The study is currently recruiting 120 participants.
