Could skipping a drug speed up hospital discharge after cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT03317899

Summary

This study tested whether patients with multiple myeloma or non-Hodgkin lymphoma could recover just as quickly after a stem cell transplant without receiving a standard recovery-boosting drug (G-CSF). The main goal was to see if skipping this drug led to a similar time until patients were ready to leave the hospital. Researchers compared recovery times, infection rates, and other health measures between patients who received the drug and those who did not.
