Stem cells from umbilical cords tested to heal Stroke-Damaged brains

NCT ID NCT07084012

Summary

This study is testing whether infusions of stem cells from donated umbilical cords can help people recover after a recent stroke. Researchers will give 60 participants either one infusion, multiple infusions, or a placebo (dummy treatment) to see if the stem cells improve movement, daily function, and independence. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and helps patients regain abilities lost from the stroke.
