Summary

This early study tests whether stem cells taken from a patient's own belly fat can safely help heal pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers. Twelve adults with these hard-to-treat wounds will have a small amount of fat removed, processed to extract stem cells, and then applied to the wound with a special glue. The goal is to see if the treatment is safe and helps the wound heal over 6 weeks.
