First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether a patient's own stem cells, grown in a lab and injected into the heart, could improve recovery after a major heart attack. 49 adults with significant heart damage were enrolled. The goal was to see if this treatment could reduce heart complications and improve heart function compared to standard care.
