Double-Dose stem cell trial aims to relieve debilitating dry mouth for cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT07290946

Summary

This study is testing whether giving two treatments of stem cells, four months apart, can help people who have severe dry mouth after radiation treatment for head and neck cancer. The goal is to increase saliva production and ease the constant discomfort of dry mouth, which can make eating, sleeping, and speaking difficult. Researchers will measure saliva flow and ask participants about their symptoms to see if the repeated treatment works better than a single dose.
