First seen Dec 19, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether injecting stem cells from umbilical cords into damaged spinal discs can repair the disc and ease pain. About 20 adults with a single-level herniated disc who haven't improved with other treatments will receive the injection. The goal is to see if the disc heals on MRI and if back and leg pain decrease over 12 months.
