Early trial tests stem cells to repair Worn-Out spinal discs
NCT ID NCT06589271
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether injecting stem cells from umbilical cords into damaged spinal discs is safe and might help slow disc degeneration. It will involve 20 adults with chronic lower back pain who haven't improved with standard treatments. Researchers will track pain levels and use MRI scans over a year to see if the discs show signs of repair.
