Summary
This study tested whether stem cells from umbilical cords can safely help people with early-stage osteonecrosis of the femoral head, a condition where the hip bone dies due to poor blood flow. About 30 participants with mild to moderate bone damage were to receive the stem cells and be monitored with MRI scans and hip function scores. The trial was suspended, so results are not yet available.
