Could cord blood stem cells help heal damaged hearts?

NCT ID NCT07134712

Summary

This study is testing whether an infusion of stem cells from umbilical cord blood, called MiSaver, is safe and can help the heart recover after a heart attack. About 102 patients who recently had a heart attack will be randomly assigned to receive either the stem cell treatment or standard care, and neither they nor their doctors will know which one they get. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves the heart's pumping strength and is safe over a year of follow-up.
