Stem cell secretions & laser team up to fade stubborn skin discoloration
NCT ID NCT06677931
Summary
This study tested a new combination treatment for melasma, a common skin condition causing brown or gray patches. Researchers gave 30 adult participants a treatment that applied tiny particles (exosomes) from umbilical cord stem cells to the skin, combined with a gentle laser. The goal was to see if this combo could safely reduce the discoloration, have fewer side effects, and keep the melasma from coming back as often.
