Boosting the harvest: drug combo aims to secure life-saving cells for cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05087212

Summary

This study tested how well two drugs (plerixafor and G-CSF) work together to help the body release stem cells into the bloodstream. These stem cells are collected and later used in a transplant to rebuild the immune system after high-dose chemotherapy for multiple myeloma. The main goal was to see if enough cells could be collected quickly and safely for this critical treatment step.
