Can a common heart pill protect transplant patients?
NCT ID NCT07089589
Summary
This study looked back at medical records to see if patients who were already taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs before their liver transplant had fewer serious heart problems after surgery. Researchers reviewed the records of 6,871 adult liver transplant recipients to check for heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular events within 30 days after the transplant. The goal was to gather information that could help guide future care for transplant patients.
