Registry tracks patients who suffer side effects from common heart pills

NCT ID NCT04975594

Summary

This study is creating a registry to learn more about people who experience side effects from statin medications, which are commonly prescribed to lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. It will follow 1,000 adults who have had to stop or reduce their statin use due to symptoms like muscle pain. The goal is to better understand this patient group, track their cholesterol levels and quality of life over time, and see how their care is managed.
