First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looked at whether eating more slow-digestible starch (like in certain grains) can improve blood sugar control and reduce inflammation in people with type 2 diabetes. 53 adults with type 2 diabetes followed either a high or low slow-digestible starch diet for 3 months. Researchers measured blood sugar patterns and other health markers to see if the diet made a difference.
