First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-stage study tested a new vaccine called LTB-SA7 designed to protect against infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. 129 healthy adults received either the vaccine or a placebo to check for safety and to see if the vaccine triggers an immune response. The study is complete, and researchers are analyzing how well the vaccine is tolerated and whether it produces antibodies against seven key toxins.
