First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study tests a minimally invasive procedure to open narrowed veins above the heart in 100 adults (18+) who experience dizziness or fainting when standing due to orthostatic hypotension or intolerance. Doctors use a tiny balloon or stent to widen the veins, aiming to improve blood flow and reduce symptoms. Participants are followed for 2 years to see if the procedure helps them stand longer with fewer symptoms and less need for medication.
