New lupus drug candidate enters human trials

Summary

This study tests a new drug called SSGJ-626 in people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The drug targets a protein on certain immune cells to help control the disease. About 198 adults aged 18 to 70 will receive either the drug or a placebo to check safety and how well it works. The goal is to see if it reduces lupus symptoms without causing serious side effects.
