Can a simple calculator replace the goniometer for wall squats?

NCT ID NCT07297485

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study compared two methods for setting the correct squat height during a wall squat exercise: the standard goniometer (a tool that measures joint angles) and a new calculator based on leg bone measurements. Researchers wanted to see if the calculator could provide accurate results more easily. Twenty-one healthy adults took part. The goal was to make setting up wall squats faster and more comfortable, especially for people new to exercise.
