First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study compares a new drug-coated temporary stent system to standard balloon angioplasty for people with critical limb ischemia, a severe blockage in leg arteries that can lead to amputation. About 518 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the stent or balloon treatment. The goal is to see which approach better restores blood flow and prevents major complications like amputation or repeat procedures.
