Hospital looks back at spinal infection cases to improve future care

NCT ID NCT07164235

Summary

This study is looking back at the medical records of 137 adults who were treated for a spinal infection called spondylodiscitis at Alessandria University Hospital between 2017 and 2024. The goal is to better understand the characteristics of these patients, how they were diagnosed and treated, and if care changed before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an observational study, meaning researchers are only reviewing past data and not testing a new treatment.
