Could splintless jaw surgery be a Game-Changer for sleep apnea patients?

NCT ID NCT07598461

First seen May 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 03, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a new splintless surgical technique is more accurate than the standard splint-based method for moving the jaw forward to treat obstructive sleep apnea in adults. About 66 patients with moderate to severe sleep apnea who cannot use a CPAP machine will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries. Researchers will compare accuracy, safety, and cost-effectiveness over several years.
