NCT ID NCT07589010

First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether using a splint (a small support) helps keep IV lines in place longer in newborn babies in the NICU. Researchers compared how long IVs lasted with and without a splint in 192 newborns. The goal was to find a better way to secure IVs and reduce the need for repeat insertions.
