Spleen injury study seeks best path to recovery

NCT ID NCT07274007

Summary

This study aims to find the better treatment for a specific, serious spleen injury in patients who are otherwise stable. It compares two different procedures: a minimally invasive surgery to remove the spleen versus a non-surgical procedure that blocks blood flow to the injured area. Researchers will measure which approach leads to fewer complications, less pain, a shorter hospital stay, and a better overall quality of life for patients.
