Researchers track nerve safety in back surgery
NCT ID NCT01499680
Summary
This study aimed to understand how well nerve monitoring works during a specific type of spinal fusion surgery. It involved 323 adults with severe, long-term back pain who were scheduled for the procedure. Researchers tracked the patients' nerve function during and after surgery to see if the monitoring tools could accurately detect potential nerve injuries.
