Which drug keeps blood pressure steadier during back surgery?

NCT ID NCT07238101

Summary

This study compared two anesthesia drugs—dexmedetomidine and fentanyl—to see which one better maintains stable blood pressure and heart rate during spinal surgery. Fifty adults having elective back surgery were randomly assigned to receive one of the drugs as part of their anesthesia. Researchers measured participants' blood pressure and heart rate at multiple points during surgery to determine which medication provided more consistent cardiovascular stability.
