New study aims to find the best screw for fixing elderly back fractures

NCT ID NCT07408726

Summary

This study compares two types of surgical screws used to treat spine fractures in people aged 60 and older. The goal is to see which screw type—monoaxial or polyaxial—is better at correcting and maintaining the spine's natural curve after surgery. Researchers will measure spinal alignment, pain levels, and mobility in 44 patients to determine which method provides more stable, long-lasting results.
