Zapping the spine to stop the shakes?

NCT ID NCT02978924

Summary

This study tested whether a mild electrical current applied to the spine could help people with primary orthostatic tremor. Eighteen patients received either a real or a fake (sham) stimulation to see if the real treatment improved their ability to stand without support and reduced muscle shaking. The goal was to find a new, non-invasive way to manage this disabling condition that has few treatment options.
