New Dual-Planning method aims to ease pain from spine tumors

Summary
This study tests a new planning method for placing tiny radioactive seeds into bone tumors that have spread to the spine. The goal is to improve pain relief and reduce the risk of fractures or other complications. About 150 adults with advanced cancer and painful or growing spine tumors will be randomly assigned to either the new dual-simulation planning or the standard planning method. The main outcome is pain response at 3 months.
