Could your back pain scan be wrong? study investigates common imaging mistakes
NCT ID NCT07256366
Summary
This study aims to find out how reliable standard X-rays and MRI scans are at spotting common spinal variations and correctly identifying which disc is causing a patient's pain. Researchers will compare these routine scans against a more complete 'whole-spine' scan, which is considered the most accurate method. The goal is to improve the accuracy of diagnoses for people with back and leg pain, helping to ensure treatments target the correct area.
