Back surgery breakthrough? new injection aims to slash Post-Op pain and morphine use
NCT ID NCT04904575
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific nerve-block injection can reduce pain and the need for morphine after major back fusion surgery. It will involve 130 adults in France who are scheduled for this surgery. Patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the real pain-blocking injection or a placebo (saltwater) injection, and neither they nor the doctors will know which one they got.
