Surgery fluid trial seeks to Fine-Tune patient care

NCT ID NCT06822374

Summary

This study aimed to compare two different IV fluids given during spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. Researchers wanted to see if a special buffered saline solution affected patients' blood chemistry differently than the standard fluid. They also planned to measure how much fluid was needed during the operation. The study was designed for patients aged 10 and older but was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
