Spinal stimulation could help people walk again at home

NCT ID NCT05429736

Summary

This study is testing whether a home-based exercise program combined with gentle electrical stimulation to the spine can help people with incomplete spinal cord injuries walk better. Researchers want to see if this approach improves walking speed, balance, leg strength, and reduces muscle stiffness. The study involves 28 participants who will complete training sessions over four weeks, with some receiving real spinal stimulation and others receiving a sham treatment for comparison.
