Zap to the back: new hope for regaining arm movement after spinal injury

NCT ID NCT07208188

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive electrical stimulation device, worn on the skin over the spine, can help people regain arm and hand function after a recent spinal cord injury. Researchers will compare recovery between a group receiving standard arm therapy alone and a group receiving therapy plus the stimulation. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and safe to use in a hospital rehab setting and if it might lead to better recovery.
