Can simple spine surgery fix your posture without major reconstruction?

NCT ID NCT07139938

Summary

This study aims to understand if a common, less-invasive spine surgery (decompression) can naturally improve a patient's posture and spinal balance over time. Researchers will follow 165 adults with lumbar spinal stenosis who undergo this specific surgery, tracking their posture, pain, and function with X-rays and questionnaires. The goal is to learn if this simpler procedure might help some patients avoid more complex spinal fusion surgeries in the future.
