Finding the right dose to get patients home faster after knee procedures

NCT ID NCT06703580

Summary

This study tested three different doses of a short-acting spinal anesthesia drug (prilocaine) in adults having knee arthroscopy surgery. The main goal was to find which dose allows patients to urinate normally again most quickly after surgery, which is important for safe discharge from the hospital. Researchers also measured how long numbness lasted and tracked side effects like low blood pressure and nausea.
