Spinal tap for surgery? study tests faster recovery for prostate cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06860893

Summary

This study tested whether adding a spinal injection to general anesthesia helps men recover faster and feel less pain after robotic surgery for prostate cancer. Thirty men with prostate cancer were randomly assigned to receive either a real spinal injection with pain medication or a fake procedure. The goal was to see if the spinal anesthesia shortened the time spent in the recovery room after surgery.
