Study tests which spinal anesthesia keeps blood pressure more stable in elderly hip surgery

NCT ID NCT06972485

Summary

This study aimed to find out which of two common spinal anesthesia solutions is better for keeping blood pressure stable during hip surgery in patients over 65. Researchers compared a 'light' (hypobaric) and a 'heavy' (hyperbaric) version of the same numbing medicine in 70 patients. The main goal was to see which one caused fewer dangerous drops in blood pressure, a common risk for older adults during this type of surgery.
