Spinal shot Add-Ons aim to speed recovery from anal surgery

NCT ID NCT07156968

Summary

This study tested if adding one of two drugs (fentanyl or dexmedetomidine) to a standard spinal anesthetic could help patients recover feeling and movement in their legs faster after minor anal surgery. The goal was to see if this faster recovery allowed patients to meet the criteria to go home sooner. Researchers also monitored for problems with urination after surgery.
