Summary
This study tested if using the length of the lower spine to set the dose of bupivacaine (a numbing medicine) during C-sections could lower the chance of dangerously low blood pressure. 446 pregnant women were randomly assigned to receive a dose based on spine length, height, or a standard height-based formula. The main goal was to see which group had fewer drops in blood pressure during surgery.
