Can a single therapy session cure spider fear for months?
NCT ID NCT06255821
Summary
This study aimed to understand how long the benefits of a single exposure therapy session last for people with a fear of spiders. Researchers tested 59 participants to see if reduced fear toward a treated spider would also apply to a new, different spider. They measured fear levels immediately after therapy and again at one week, six weeks, or three months to see if the positive effects faded or transferred over time.
