First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at how long the benefits of a single spider exposure session last and whether they help with fear of a different spider. 59 people with spider fear completed an exposure session and were then checked after one week, six weeks, or three months. Researchers measured how close they could get to the original spider and a new spider, along with their fear, disgust, and heart rate.
